Harina PAN is the first and most popular brand of plain corn flour among afro-carribbeans in latin america. It is used to make the maize flour dough known as “masarepa”, that is a basic ingredient in typical caribbean dishes such as arepas, hallacas and bollos. It is also used to prepare empanadas, hallaquitas, tamales, tortillas, gorditas, polenta and milho fritto. It is a flour easily digested and contains no additives, being suitable for gluten-free and nut-free diets.

INGREDIENTS

Maize kernels (100%) No added sugar, colour or preservatives.

HOW TO USE

Take a bowl and pour the water into it. Add salt to the water and mix it till it dissolves. Slowly add the Harina P.A.N., a half cup at a time, and mix it gently to get a dough-like consistency.

STORAGE

Keep cool, dry. Seal tightly after opening.
